Person Centered Planning (PCP)

If you are looking to get a family member involved in the Self Determination Program then this is your first step. SDP allows participants and their families the autonomy to choose what services work best to ensure that participant’s maximize their enjoyment of life. Assembling the PCP is a vital step in the SDP process and through it, the individualized goals are made clear to the participant’s entire team.

This service provides essential assistance in handling the PCP plan from inception to finalization.

*This service is funded through the Regional Center

SDP Transitional Period Consulting

After the PCP is completed, participant’s enter a transitional phase before becoming an active SDP participant. This is a busy and important phase in the process and is often quite time consuming. SPES is responsible for assisting in all budget meetings, correspondence with regional center, advocating for participant needs, creating the spending plan, and many more administrative tasks.

What is the self determination program?

SDP is a California launched initiative that provides regional center participants the opportunity to manage their own budgets so that they can participate in more suitable services and supports that help them reach their goals. The program takes participants out of the ‘traditional’ model and gives participant’s and their families more flexibility and autonomy in regard to the participant’s plan.

4731 Complaint Filing

If you feel that your Regional Center has violated any of your rights or has not upheld its duty to support you accordingly- we can help you draft a formal complaint that addresses all of your concerns.

*This service is a flat fee of $300.00. More details can be found under the ‘Shop Supports’ tab located in the navigation bar at the top of the page

IHSS Support

IHSS- In Home Supportive Services- is a seperate support offered to families with members possessing a disability. Hours prescribed to an individual vary depending on need and circumstances, but sometimes the correct amount of hours is not always given.

For individuals that require extra assistance or around the clock supervision, Protective Supervision should be given to them. We will help you fill out the paperwork correctly, file it, and advocate for the correct amount of hours based on need and circumstance.

* Payment for this service is 20% of the back pay given once hours have been increased.

IPP Supports

Individualized Program Plan meetings can be stressful, and at SPĒS, we’re here to help. IPP meetings aim to identify goals that the participant has, as well as traditional RC supports/services that can help them achieve those goals.

The IPP Report acts as an official agreement contract between you and the Regional Center. Due to its significance, clients and their families may sometimes need assistance. Through this service, we will help you advocate and secure traditional services that will allow you to continue to grow and succeed.

* This service is a flat fee of $1,500.00. More details can be found under the ‘Shop Supports’ tab located in the navigation bar at the top of the page
